Today’s Monday Mantra was to Narasimha, for protection from negative energies.
Narasimha, a Hindu God is an avatar of the god Vishna, is part man, part lion. He protects his followers from evil and his role on earth is to end religious persecution and calamity on earth.
This is quite a well known mantra and it is beautiful to perform and to hear. Not quite a song, not quite a chant, it’s melodic mix of the two that can fill the performer with inner peace. Even better, it’s performed with the intention of sharing that peace, along with happiness and freedom, with the rest of the world.
It is an invocation of Dhanvantri, the Celestial Physician. Dhanvantri is the Hindu god of medicine and Ayurveda; he is prayed to for good health.
Mantra therapy can be a life changing intervention when performed with intention and integrity. Mantras are like medicine for the soul and can be a powerful tool for transformation and change. When pronounced correctly, the vibrations produced by the ancient Sanskrit sounds evoke a unique vibration in the Universe, sending out your intention and facilitating whatever you are trying to manifest through your mantra.
