Children’s Workshop: Rhythm & Percussion

I’m teaming up with Zoe from Zoe Life Music again later this month to deliver a really fun children’s workshop. It was a great success when we ran it last month for home educated children. This time we’re making it available to schooled children too.

We’ll be exploring rhythm, beats, tone and pitch through a series of fun, active games. Get ready to march, jump, dance and turn your body into an instrument!

Each child will make a fabulous, decorated rainstick. Then we’ll investigate percussion instruments from around the world and try to guess which natural materials they are made from.

Each child leaves with their completed rainstick, a poster of their name written in beats and a certificate of attendance.

The workshop is suitable for children aged 4-8 years, but you know your child best, so if you think it would be suitable for them, do book a place.

This children’s workshop is on Saturday 26 May 11am-1pm and costs £15 per child including all materials. Complementary refreshments will be provided. It will take place in the Earthtones Studio at the Old School Business Centre, Church Drive, Nottingham NG5 6LD. Booking is essential and you can book your place(s) here.
